I’m pretty sure I posted about this before, but I picked up the hardcopy yesterday, and here’s a pic of the review itself:

Locus Review Key:Egg

“… strangely satisfying conclusion…” I’m cool with that.

I picked this book up on Amazon for the Kindle. I liked that it wasn't particularly predictable, nor did it follow any other fictional magical systems I was familiar with, and I particularly liked the ex-military door-opening skeptical nephew. =)

I like Albert, too. He's one of those characters who would be the hero of a different book, a type of character I like to write about.

Congrats! It certainly sounds like an interesting book. I'm off to check it on Kindle.

(Incidentally, I found you through Ursaluv(sp?), and friended you because you seem like an interesting person with a good taste in books. I hope you don't mind? =) )

I don't mind at all, although I make no guarantees whatsoever regarding my interesting-ness.

=) Hello new friend! *gives cookie*

And nonsense, I'm sure you're interesting! Most published people are interesting, in one way or another. And notice I didn't say 'good or bad' interesting, just interesting. ;)
