Which is sad, because it makes sense to have one, but I understand why people don't want it.
There's strong resistance to the idea that we should state our intentions baldly ("This is sarcasm!" "I am certain!") rather than letting context and implication guide our meaning. It feels like dumbing down our discourse. Me, I understand that it's inelegant (and does anyone want to see "authority" marks or whatever in online evolution arguments?) but think how many dumb people it would help.
