I was not surprised to get the rejection. When I was pitching it to her, she didn't seem all that enthused, and she "eewwww"-ed one of the plot points. I *was* surprised when she asked me to send the material. I expected her to turn me down right there during the pitch.
Anyway, it was a complimentary rejection, which is nice.
