Dear Oberto Sausage Company:
On Sunday afternoon, my son was eating from a bag of beef jerky (the four ounce size, teriyaki flavor) and he pulled a long hair out of the bag.
He has long blond hair and this one was very dark brown, or maybe black. It couldn't have been his. It couldn't have been mine, either, because I shave my head. We figure it must have been in there when we bought it.
Anyway: Gross. He still likes your product and has asked for more, but if something likes this happens again your brand will be off our shopping list.
I just thought you'd want to know.

The result of this complaint: A letter from the company requesting I call them with information already provided above (flavor and size of bag) along with the sell-by date, which I couldn't give anyway because I threw out the bag. Also included: two coupons for free 4 oz bag of beef jerky.
Value: $12 (approximately)
Lesson: Always write a complaint letter.
