Obama

I could only watch the first fifteen minutes, which were phenomenal, before I had to go to the back bedroom and wrangle the boy. Salad Eater cried through the whole thing. She said it was beautiful and she loved the way he talked about the future he wanted to create for his daughters.

I hope he wins.

edited to add: Because rosefox reminded me--Like her, I kept waiting for a gun shot. In fact, I was a little sick to my stomach with the fear that it might happen.

The small ones here distracted me only briefly, so I caught all but a few sentences. I urge you to tune-in on YouTube.

I, too, was moved to tears in several sections -- or at least to misty eyes. I have begun to hope. Rather than pad myself against criticism by saying that I feel I should be more cynical or that I've been let down in the past or what have you, I'm just going to wear this one on my sleeve, because I really have begun to hope. You won't "hear" me mention it on the BG blog, though, which I feel should be completely separate from political and religious discussions.

This reminds me of the time my wife was injured and the insurance guy handling her case did everything possible to deny and stall the payment. We had to put her surgery on a credit card because this…

The creepiest part is that some of them are actually well meaning.

Yeah. It's godawful what people will do when they have authority and no fear about using it.
