Police unable to find any sign of an explosion in a downtown parking garage. It seems a passing bus driver heard something like a bomb going off, but the cops couldn't find any damage or victims. Dogs couldn't even sniff anything out.
My morning bus had to reroute around the yellow tape, but until I got into the office I thought it was a garden-variety shooting.
I think I am going to use this in the next book.
edited to add: The paper is full of novel-starting ideas today. Day laborers answering a Craig's List job ad were used as decoys for a carefully planned robbery. The police currently think the getaway vehicle was an inner tube.
