I'm going, right now, to my "edit friends" page and deleting five people from my friends list. It's too long. What good is a reading list if you don't have time to read it? More importantly, if your wife gives you annoyed looks when you tell her you're behind on your internet reading.

Update: Okay, I've dropped nine names, but four of them were inactive journals. At some later point, I'm going to have to do it again. I'm spending too much time online.

Sympathies...mine has climbed enormously...all I can do is try to be strict with this timer.

I can usual get them all read, but if excepttionally long, then I am left with no time to comment.

Your friends list is crazy-long. I don't know how you do it.

Adding to the problem is that my wife isn't too keen on computers and internet stuff. It's all "wasting time" to her, and she's mostly right.

Luckily I read extremely fast. And I am ruthless at skipping all random generator memes, talk about sports or cooking, most political posts as people even with whom I sympathize tend to say the same thing. I do want to stay up with everyone's family talk, and travel talk, and book and writing talk, but I am at my limit--yet don't want to cut anybody.

I envy your ability to read quickly. I'd love to read faster.

And I study cooking posts very closely, but skip right over all talk of pets. Life's too short. :)

A "mutual" friend have to post dozens of OMG! CUTE ATTACK! kitty cat pictures a day for me to drop them. I guilt too easily, I guess.

Oh yeah. Like the lawyers who get obvious really venal criminals off because it makes their success rate look good. But those are not the ones I am referring to in meaning well. These guys are mixed…

This reminds me of the time my wife was injured and the insurance guy handling her case did everything possible to deny and stall the payment. We had to put her surgery on a credit card because this…

The creepiest part is that some of them are actually well meaning.

Yeah. It's godawful what people will do when they have authority and no fear about using it.
