I have five uncorrected galleys to use for my promotional efforts for the upcoming novel. If I'd been smarter, I would have asked (and paid) for 20, but I didn't. What should I do with them? Please only click five choices, if you can bear to restrain yourself.

Maybe keep one for yourself -- hard to part with them -- but give the others away to anyone you think will read them and talk about them.

When you get the REAL books, do the same thing.

Well, I'm trying to figure out how to get them to the people who can spread the word farthest.

You will be able to snag one of your ARCs at Comic-con for the friend in SD....
Definitely send one in to NPR!
I vote to give one away in each blog/journal via contest or random comment.
Also, if you save two copies for yourself, you can loan one out to a few different reviewers and get it back without messing up your good copy. (I've known an author or two to do that)

Loaning out a copy is a fantastic idea! I think I'm going to give that a try.

Thanks!

This reminds me of the time my wife was injured and the insurance guy handling her case did everything possible to deny and stall the payment. We had to put her surgery on a credit card because this…
