It’s really easy to grind your own

I have a couple of gadgets that can turn chuck into ground beef, and I really recommend using one of them. Pre-ground beef just isn’t safe.

I find myself much more OK with Costco now. I hear they can be a bear to negotiate with, but from what I hear they pay their employees well enough, and provide benefits.

I've heard the same thing. If we had a car, we'd join up and shop there. Unfortunately, they're far away and I don't much like the idea of carrying a pallet of toilet paper on the bus.

We carpool to the nearest one once a month with friends who have a car. They pay for gas; we pay for the membership. It works out well.

Yeah, the meat grinder attachment for our mixer just jumped several notches on the wishlist.

I got one for my last birthday and it's terrific.

I used to use a hand crank, but it didn't mount well on any of our kitchen furniture and it had a habit of "spritzing" the kitchen.

After that we went for the food processor, which is great as long as you don't process for too short a time (leaving lumps) or too long (making cow mousse).

The grinder attachment is tidy, consistent and easy to clean. Love it.

This reminds me of the time my wife was injured and the insurance guy handling her case did everything possible to deny and stall the payment. We had to put her surgery on a credit card because this…

The creepiest part is that some of them are actually well meaning.

Yeah. It's godawful what people will do when they have authority and no fear about using it.
